Commercial Car Insurance Lincoln

Am I responsible for wage loss due to an at fault accident or my insurance should pay that?

2 months ago, I had an accident with a Lincoln town car in New York. I was at fault and my insurance paid the that guy for the damages caused by the accident to his car. Now I have received a letter saying that I’m summoned to appear in the Civil Court and file my answers since the guy wants 4500$ because of “Loss of Time for Work”. It seems he is claiming against me since he has not been able to work because his car had been being repaired for some days or he has been busy with taking care of the stuff related to the accident. Am I really responsible for that or mu insurance should pay that??!!! The car was a commercial car and he had a passenger heading JFK. I live in Florida and I need to take a trip to NY just because of this!!

Of course YOU are responsible. Will they win? I doubt it. Simply notify your insurance company of the suit and if you had the proper coverage, they and their many lawyers will defend you. If you didn’t have the proper coverage, you are on your own,

Note: ALL law suits are filed against the person and never against the insurance company
