Cheap insurance for a 16 year old boy?
My first car is gonna be allot more expensive then the average first car because its a Lincoln aviator, the only problem is that even though the truck is $7000 (after safety and etest and all that needs nothing else) witch i can afford, the insurance is $1000 a month witch i can’t afford! is there anyway to possibly go under my parents insurance or something like that? if so how would i do that?
Just wondering, what was your first car? how much did you pay for it, or was it a gift? love it or hate?
one more thing, this is a truck ill probably get, if not a mustang gt. the truck has a little over 200,000 miles on it, good condition. Love it can’t wait to pick it up.
Answering your last question first, you personally would not do it yourself. They, not you, would have to be the ones to do it. They, not you, would call their insurance agent, give their insurance agent the necessary information, and find out the price. It would still be expensive, probably still more than you can afford, but somewhat less than having you on your own insurance. It is only possible for you to be under their insurance if they put you there. It is not possible for you to do it yourself.
Now answering your first question: There is no cheap insurance for a 16-year-old boy. Even if you are under their insurance, it will not be cheap. Your parents insurance with you under it will cost a lot more than it cost without you under it, probably $300-$800 per month more. Definitely cheaper than getting your own, but still not cheap or affordable.
You first car is not going to be that truck. You cannot get a car or truck now, because you cannot afford the insurance. You must wait until you can afford insurance. Someone else who can afford the insurance will have to buy this truck. Your first car will be whatever is available when you can afford insurance.
